Dia 2: El Palacio Real y la Siesta

Hoy, nos levantamos muy temprano y fuimos al desayuno. Despues de comer, nosotros caminamos al Palacio Real. El palacio es enorme con mas de 2000 cuartos. Pero, solamento vimos mas o menos 20 cuartos. Aprendimos que hay pasajes secretas en el palacio y en cada cuarto, hay relojes elegantes Tambien, vimos muchas pinturas, esculpturas y columnas fuera y dentro del edificio. Aprendimos que es una tradicion que el rey y la reina se sientan en el centro de la mesa y sus sillas son las mas altas. Sin duda, fue increible!  Para almorzar, fuimos a un restaruante de tapas. Pedimos mucha comida como pulpo, pimientos de padron, calamares, y chorizo. Pero, no podiamos terminarlas. Casi todo el grupo decidio probar una comida nueva. Despues de almorzar, casi fuimos a la Reina Sofia, pero en vez de esta actividad, volvimos al hotel para pasear por la Gran Via y tomar una siesta. Despues de la siesta, fuimos a un resaurante italiano que se llama DiBocca. El postre era fantastico. Al fin del dia, regresamos al hotel y escribimos nuestros diarios en la terraza en el techo del hotel. Escuchamos musica, y por fin, fuimos a nuestros cuartos para dormir.

Today, we woke up very early and went to breakfast. After eating, we walked to the Royal Palace The Palace is enormous and has more than 2000 rooms. But, we only saw about 20 of them. We learned that there are secret passages and in every room, there are intricate clocks. We also saw many paintings, sculpturs and columns both in and outside of the building It is a tradition that the king and queeen sit in the senter of the table and their seats are a little bit taller than the others. The Palace is incredible. For lunch, we went to a restaurant for tapas. We ordered a lot of food including octopus, peppers from padron, calamari and chorizo But, we couldn't finish it. Almost everyone in the group decided to try something new. After lunch, we almost went to the Reina Sofia, but we decided to return to the hotel for a stroll on the Gran Via Boulevard and a siesta instead. Finally, after the siesta, we wento to DiBocca: an italian restaurant with amazing dessert. At the end of the day, we returned to the hotel, and finished the journals on the roof of the hotel. We listened to Spanish music and then went to bed.
