Fue un día largo! Primero, cuando me levante, no me recordé que yo estaba España y estaba un poco confusa cuando la madre de Miri entro en mi dormitorio. Pero entonces, me acordé, y después me duche y me vestí. Estaba lloviendo, y hacia mal tiempo. Me vestí en vaqueros y un suéter, pero todavía tenia frio. Para el desayuno, había Especial K y Oreos con leche caliente. Me pareció muy extraño que ellos comen galletas por la mañana y beben la leche caliente Yo como los cereales (Especial K) con leche fría separada en un vaso. Después del desayuno, Miri y yo fuimos a la escuela con su padre en su coche. El padre de Miri trabaja más cerca de la escuela de ella. Miri y yo llegamos a la escuela, temprano por eso tuve tiempo para hablar con otros estudiantes. Me sentí extraña en una escuela diferente de la Newark Academy. Ella me dijo que adentro su escuela es más pequeña que NA. Estoy entusiasmada para ir a clase con Miri la próxima semana!
Después todos los otros estudiantes Americanos fueron a la escuela, Maestra, Ms. Mahler, y otra profe que era muy simpática y paciente con el grupo nos mostraron la ciudad de Pontevedra. Hay muchos edificios viejos que son góticos y románticos. Me gustan los tipos de edificios, son muy interesantes porque en los EEUU, no hay edificios tan viejos! La ciudad de Pontevedra es muy diferente de ciudades por ejemplo como Madrid y Nueva York. Pontevedra es una ciudad más pequeña y tranquila, pero todavía hay muchos coches y personas en ella. Nosotros visitamos la panadería y adentro, olía muy, muy bien! Nosotros probamos varios tipos de pasteles, por ejemplo pan con chocolate adentro.
Al terminar en Pontevedra, la madre de Miri y yo fuimos a la casa para comer el almuerzo y descansar un poco. Miri y yo hablamos un poco, y comimos espagueti para el almuerzo con su abuela y su madre. Me gusta la abuela de Miri! Después, todas las chicas fuimos de compras en Pontevedra. Yo compre pantalones porque yo tenía frio durante este viaje. Luego, las chicas fuimos al restaurante para hablar, y me gustan todas las chicas mucho. Fue un buen día!

It was a very long day! First, when I woke up, I didn’t remember that I was in Spain, and I was a little confused when Miri’s mother came into my room. But then, I remembered, and afterwards I showered and got dressed. It was raining, and the weather was bad. I put on jeans and a sweater, but I still was cold. For breakfast, there was Special K and Oreos with hot milk. It seemed very strange to me that they ate cookies in the morning and drank hot milk. I eat cereal with cold milk in a separate glass! After breakfast, Miri and I went to the school with her dad in their car. Miri’s dad works closer to the school than she does. Miri and I arrived at school early, so there was time to talk with the other students. I felt strange in a school other than Newark Academy. She told me that her school was smaller inside than NA. I am excited to go to class with Miri next week!
After all the other American students were at the school, Maestra, Ms Mahler, and another teacher who was very kind and patient with the group showed us the city of Pontevedra. There are many old buildings there that have gothic or romantic architecture. I like the different types of buildings; it is very interesting because in the United States, none of the buildings are that old! The city of Pontevedra is very different than other cities like Madrid or New York. Pontevedra is a smaller, peaceful city, but there are still many cars and people there. We visited the bakery and inside, it smelled really, really good! We tried various types of sweets, such as brioche with chocolate inside.
When we finished in Pontevedra, Miri’s mother and I went home to eat lunch and to rest a bit. Miri and I talked a little, and ate spaghetti for lunch with her grandmother and her mother. I like Miri’s grandmother! Afterwards, all the girls went shopping in Pontevedra. I bought pants because I was very cold during today’s trip. Later, the girls went to a restaurant to talk, and I like all of the girls a lot. It was a good day!
