Dia 3: El Escorial, el Prado, y Kermit the Frog

Hoy no estoy cansado como ayer o el lunes. Yo me levanté a las seis y media está mañana y estaba muy cansado,pero no ahora. Luego, nosotros comimos el desayuno en nuestro hotel y yo comí dos donuts con chocolate, naranja, piña, y tortilla española. También, yo bebí jugo de piña y agua. Todos estaba delicioso.  Entonces, nosotros caminamos al Metro para tomar nuestro autobus a San Lorenzo del Escorial. Nosotros tomamos el Metro y fuimosen un autobús al Escorial. Yo me senté con mi amigo, el mejor jugador de ajedrezen en todo el mundo, Eric. Pero, yo me quede dormido para todo el viaje. Llegamos a las 9:15 y el tour no empezaba hasta más tarde. Fuimos a un pequeño café donde nosotros bebimos café, chocolate, y Coca-Cola. Cuando el tour empezó, yo pensé que el guía  y era muy gracioso y muy interesante. Yo aprendí sobre este palacio y el imperio de España en el pasado.Yo también aprendí mucho sobre Felipe II. Felipe II era el mejor rey de España cuando España era el país más poderoso en el mundo. Después de este tour,nosotros fuimos a un restaurante al lado del Museo del Prado. Este restaurante esta encima del Museo Thyseen en una terraza. Yo comí ratatui por la primera vez en mi vida y fue muy delicioso.  Luego, nosotros fuimos al Museo del Prado. Maestra nos mostró muchos cuadros famosos. Uno fue Las Meninas de Goya y La Maja Desnuda. También vimos cuadros de El Greco. Todos fueron muy interesantes y quiero ver estos cuadros otra vez en mi vida. Entonces, tuvimos tiempo libre para ver otros cuadros y Charlie y yo compramos un juego Mikado y nosotros jugamos con todos. Luego, nosotros fuimos al hotel y nos vestimos para cena. Estabamos muy guapos. Caminamos a nuestro favorito restaurante donde la comida siempre está riquisima. Yo pedi solomillo, una carne muy buena. Después de cenar nosotros caminamos por la ciudad y vimos la vida de noche n Madrid. Había pintores, cantantes, y un hombre con una marioneta que parecia Kermit the Frog tocando el piano. Yo me divertí mucho.

I am not tired like I was yesterday or Monday.  I woke up at 6:30 this morning and I was very tired, but not now.  Later, we ate breakfast in our hotel and I had two chocolate donuts, oranges, pineapple, and tortilla española española.  I also drank pineapple juice and water.  Everything was great. Then, we walked to the subway for our trip to the Escorial.  We rode the subway and went by bus to the Escorial.  I sat with my friend, the best chess player in the world, Eric.  But I slept for the whole trip.  At this time it was 9:15, and the tour didn't start until later.  We went to a small cafe, where we drank coffee, hot chocolate, and Coke.  When the tour started, I found the guide to be very funny and interesting.  I learned about the palace and the history of the Spanish empire -all in Spanish.  I also learned a lot about Philip II.  Philip II was the best king of Spain when Spain was the most powerful country in the world.  After the tour, we went to a restaurant at the Thyseen Museum.  The restaurant is a second floor terrace.  I ate ratatouille for the first time in my life and it was delicious. Later, we went to the Prado Museum.  Maestra showed us many famous paintings.  One was "Las Meninas" by Goya and "La Maja Desnuda". We also saw works by El Greco.  They were all very interesting  and I want to see these paintings again.  Then, we had free time to look at other paintings, and Charlie and I bought the game Mikado and played with everyone.  Later, we went to the hotel and got dressed for dinner. We looked great!   We walked to our favorite restaurant where the food is always great.  I ordered very good steak.  After dinner, we walked around the city and looked at the nightlife of Madrid.  There were street painters, singers, and even a guy with a puppet that looked like Kermit the Frog who played the piano. I had a lot of fun.
